I was not a book lover at a young age. Being a bit of a tom-boy, I was outdoors playing every sport under the sun. Growing up in Alaska, land of the midnight sun, my mother rarely saw me until 11 pm when she finally realized I needed a curfew. That didn't go over so well. 

As life in a corporate world of aggressive insurance brokers and of course family life and all that it entails took over, I soon discovered my escapism: romance novels. I became a voracious reader and a wanna-be writer. 

My journey started after I began reading many author profile stories and was in awe of how they became noted authors. It was the inspiration and catalyst to creating my author's kingdom and a love for the craft.
